No one can deny that leaving and studying abroad implies much challenge for a student. In these circumstances of a completely new surrounding benevolent attitude and communication are of paramount importance for such students. Our University is trying to use every opportunity to help and support international students. The Center for International Cooperation regularly holds meetings with international students to answer all the questions they have and help them deal with whatever difficulties may arise.

There are more than 26 000 students in our University, more than 500 of them are foreign students representing 30 countries of the world.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has always been proud of active and diverse life of its students. Being a student is one of the brightest moments of one's life. It's the time full of exceptional energy, emotions and unforgettable memories.

However, our University contributes greatly not only to the high quality of education provided, but to a vast variety of extracurricular activities.

Student Parliament plays an active role in student service at the University. It helps students with active civic viewpoint to put their leadership qualities into life and influence civil, scientific and sport life of the University.

Everybody knows our Center of Culture and Leisure "Yula", where our students are engaged in creative work. You can watch or join folk dance troupe "Kobzar", groups of pop dance "XXI Century", "UniverStar", "Force", show-ballet "Y-3", vocal choir of Chinese students "Yu yei lya", show-group "JADD", rock club and Luhansk Student League "KVK" teams are very popular.

As for leisure time and entertainment, LTSNU provides students with lots of facilities: sanatoriums, regular country trips, a great number of sport sections, different kinds of sport competitions, modern gyms, pool and stadium for trainings.
Moreover, Luhansk abounds in museums, theatres, cinemas and dance clubs which are extremely popular with students.
